Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 July 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Woohoo Social Pty Ltd (ABN 88 698 905 092, ACN 698 905 092) ("Woohoo", "we", "us"), an Australian company based in Melbourne. By creating an account or using the Woohoo app or woohooau.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Woohoo.
Who can use Woohoo
You must be at least 18 years old. You must provide accurate information about yourself, maintain only one account, and keep your login credentials secure. Your account is for you personally and cannot be transferred.
What Woohoo is
Woohoo helps you make plans with compatible people at real venues. You tap keen on venues, we match you with others, you lock a plan, and you check in when you attend. Venues listed on Woohoo are independent businesses. We are not a party to your meetups, and we do not conduct background checks on users.
Your safety
Meet in public places, which is what Woohoo plans are built around. Tell someone where you are going. Use your judgment: a match on Woohoo is not an endorsement of a person. If someone behaves inappropriately, report them in the app and, if you are in danger, contact emergency services (000).
The Follow-Through Rate
Your Follow-Through Rate (FTR) is a public score built from your verified attendance at locked plans. By using Woohoo you accept that your attendance and non-attendance at locked plans affects this score and that it is visible to other users. Check-in verification uses your device location at the venue.
Community rules
You must not: harass, threaten, or abuse other users; create fake or impersonated profiles; use Woohoo while under 18 or facilitate anyone under 18 using it; solicit money from other users or use Woohoo for commercial promotion without our written agreement; post unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content; attempt to manipulate the FTR system or interfere with the service's operation. We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You own the content you post (photos, bio, messages). You grant us a licence to host, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate Woohoo. You are responsible for what you post and must have the rights to it.
Venue partners
Venue listings and partner arrangements are governed by separate agreements between Woohoo and the venue. Nothing in these terms creates any obligation on a venue toward a user, or on Woohoo toward a venue.
Availability and changes
Woohoo is provided as is. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, that you will receive matches, or that plans will proceed. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. These terms apply to the service as it exists from time to time.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for the conduct of any user or venue, online or offline; our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim arose; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the service.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Woohoo and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the safety of users. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Woohoo after changes take effect means you accept them.
