I spent ten years at ABC News as a broadcast director and editor. Live news is a hard deadline that does not move and no second take, which turns out to be decent training for shipping a product.
Woohoo! came from noticing the same problem from both ends. Plans between people who genuinely want to see each other die in group chats, somewhere between "we should do something" and nobody picking a day. Meanwhile the venues that would have hosted them sit half empty while delivery takes the rest. Both ends have the same answer: a plan that already has a time, a place and other people attached, so there is nothing left to negotiate.
